Where our data comes from
Every figure on this site links back to the open dataset or public request it came from. We keep official DVSA statistics and Freedom of Information requests apart, so you can always see whether a number is from a published feed or a request we made - and read the original either way.
Published open data sets, released on gov.uk under the Open Government Licence.
Car test pass rates, by centre & gender
The headline pass rates, monthly back to 2007, split by sex. Every centre's overall and per-sex rate comes from here.
Test cancellations, by centre
How often tests are cancelled and why - split between DVSA-caused and candidate-caused cancellations.
First-attempt pass rates
The pass rate for a learner's first attempt, with no retests counted, plus faultless first-time passes.

Median weeks to a slot, slots bookable and overtime, refreshed every month - the current wait shown on the map and directory.

The official list of every test centre, with addresses, postcodes and base coordinates that every centre page and the directory are built from - obtained through a Freedom of Information request, hosted publicly so you can read the original.

Map-pin & address sharpening
Pins and addresses are sharpened against community-mapped OpenStreetMap data (via Nominatim), with attribution. The interactive map tiles are served by OpenFreeMap.

The DVSA figures behind this site (the DRT122 tables) are Crown copyright and published under the Open Government Licence v3.0 (OGL v3). You are free to reuse them under the terms of that licence; TestCentre.UK is independent and not affiliated with the DVSA or gov.uk.
